The Philippines garnered two major country awards at the TripZilla Excellence Awards 2025, earning the title of Best Dive Destination and Destination of the Year. The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines was likewise conferred as Sustainability Leader of the Year.

Now in its 11th year, the TripZilla Excellence Awards is dedicated to recognizing the top travel organizations in the industry. The Philippines’ multi-award win affirms the country’s world-class appeal across leisure travel segments, shaped by its extraordinary natural landscapes and its steadfast commitment to responsible, sustainable tourism.

“What sets Philippine tourism apart is our ability to inspire travelers while remaining accountable to the communities and environments that welcome them,” said TPB COO Nograles. “Through long-term partnerships and responsible tourism programs, we ensure that every visit creates value for travelers and for the communities that sustain our destinations. This recognition affirms that our work translates into tangible, lasting impact.”

The Philippines earned Best Dive Destination for the second consecutive year, highlighting the strength of its global dive market and marine tourism offerings.

The Philippines was named Best Dive Destination for the second consecutive year and Destination of the Year, while the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines received the Sustainability Leader of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year.

TPB was also recognized for the fourth consecutive year as Sustainability Leader of the Year, citing its sustained efforts to embed sustainability in destination marketing and tourism development. Through its Community-Based Tourism (CBT) Marketing Enhancement Program, TPB empowers local stakeholders and integrates communities into the tourism value chain by engaging media, digital influencers, and tour operators. This commitment extends to international platforms such as Expo 2025 Osaka, where Philippine artisanal textiles and local experiences are showcased to global audiences.

After first winning the title in 2023, the Philippines reclaimed Destination of the Year, recognized for its diverse experiences across the archipelago and its enduring appeal to travelers. The award reflects the continued interest in Philippine destinations that blend natural beauty, cultural identity, and a wide range of activities. TripZilla cited experiences in Boracay, Palawan, Siargao, and La Union, along with heritage and culinary journeys that encourage travelers to explore beyond traditional routes.
