Members of the Secretariat of the TPB Gender and Development Focal Point System with Officers from the Philippine Commission on Women during the GMEF Validation

On May 9, 2025, the TPB Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) Secretariat participated in the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) Baselining Workshop organized by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). The workshop provided valuable insights into the significance and methodology of establishing a baseline for GMEF implementation within organizations.

Key takeaways included a deeper understanding of the importance of Gender and Development (GAD) mainstreaming and the vital role the GMEF plays in promoting gender equality. The session also covered the process of conducting baseline assessments and identifying appropriate Means of Verification (MOVs) for GMEF descriptors.

Participants engaged in collaborative group exercises focused on the development of baseline indicators, guided by the principles and guidelines of the GMEF.

The TPB GFPS Secretariat expresses its appreciation to PCW for hosting the workshop. The knowledge gained will support TPB’s continuing efforts to strengthen GAD mainstreaming across the organization.
