Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) 2017 is the biggest ever, since its maiden staging in 1996, in terms of the number of both foreign and local participants. Organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and its marketing arm Tourism Promotions Board led by its COO Cesar Montano, the grand reception was held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City followed by a cocktail party at the Blue leaf Filipinas in Parañaque City. PHITEX brings the foreign buyers and local sellers together in one-on-one and business-to-business meetings that yield inbound tourist volumes. Congratulations to Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board for the success of the Philippine Travel Exchange 2017!
